Mr. Ibu, a cherished figure in Nigerian cinema, passed away at the age of 62 due to cardiac arrest at Evercare Hospital in Lagos. His health struggles, which led to the amputation of one of his legs, stemmed from diseased blood vessels, a condition that posed severe risks to his life.

Dominic Nwuzoru, Mr. Ibu’s manager, disclosed that the actor enjoyed immense acclaim in countries like Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Gambia, Gabon, and Botswana.
