Nollywood icon Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule, popularly known as Okey Bakassi, has stepped into a new chapter of leadership as he becomes the traditional ruler of Umuihuocha Obohia Autonomous Community in Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo State.
The celebrated comedian and actor shared the news on his Instagram page, expressing gratitude to his community with the words:
“Special thanks to the entire Umuihuocha Autonomous Community…. a new beginning.”
Now officially recognized as His Royal Highness, Eze Okechukwu Onyegbule, OKWE II of Umuihuocha Obohia, he becomes the second monarch to hold the revered OKWE title.
Located in the heart of Mbaise, Umuihuocha is a community deeply rooted in cultural heritage and unity.
