Ayodele Omidina Shares Painful Story Behind Her Split From Baba Suwe
In a different but equally emotional revelation, Ayodele Omidina, the estranged wife of late comedy legend Baba Suwe, has opened up about the heartbreak she endured during their separation.
In a candid chat with filmmaker Kunle Afod, Ayodele recalled how Baba Suwe distanced himself from her after marrying fellow comedian Omoladun. She said there was never a proper explanation, and efforts by friends and colleagues to bring them back together didn’t succeed.
But the emotional toll wasn’t the only burden—Ayodele said the split nearly ended her career. According to her, Baba Suwe used his influence to push filmmakers and producers to stop working with her. “He told people I was just a housewife,” she said.
Despite the years that have passed, the pain from the betrayal still lingers—and Ayodele’s story adds another layer to the complex life of the late comic icon.
