Patience Ozokwor is clearing the air—and she’s not mincing words.
The beloved Nollywood veteran has firmly denied claims that she forcefully took over land that belonged to the late husband of a widow. In a video that made rounds online, the widow and her daughter alleged that Ozokwor took possession of the property without their consent.
But in a detailed post on Instagram, Ozokwor set the record straight.
According to her, the land in question was legally purchased back in 2010—and with the widow’s full awareness. In fact, she says it was the widow who approached her agent at the time, hoping to find a buyer.
Years later, in 2023, things took a turn. Ozokwor claimed the widow tried to resell a portion of the same land behind her back. To protect her investment, she fenced off the property—a move that seemingly triggered the online accusations.
Ozokwor described the allegations as an attempt to exploit her public image. “They’re using my name to gain sympathy and money from the public,” she wrote. “What they’re doing is blackmail and deeply malicious.”
Frustrated by how the narrative has spiraled, the actress emphasized her intention to handle the matter legally. “Social media isn’t a courtroom,” she said. “I’ve spent years building my name—it’s my livelihood. I won’t let falsehood tear it down.”
She also called out bloggers for sharing the accusations without verifying the facts. “To those who jumped on the trend without checking the truth—see you in court,” she added.
Despite the drama, Mama G ended her post on a grateful note, thanking everyone who supported her through the ordeal.
