President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Miss Tolulope Abiodun Odunaiya as the new Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), succeeding Dr. Chioma Ejikeme. This change was announced on Monday through a statement by PTAD spokesperson Olugbenga Ajayi.
The statement confirmed Miss Odunaiya’s assumption of office on November 18, 2024, at PTAD headquarters in Abuja, where she was warmly received by the agency’s management and staff.
Commitment to Progress
During her first address as Executive Secretary, Miss Odunaiya expressed her determination to build on the directorate’s successes. She emphasized teamwork and a shared sense of purpose as key to achieving PTAD’s goals.
“With great responsibility and purpose, I step into this role, recognizing the dedication of those who have brought us here. I am committed to fostering a directorate where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute meaningfully,” she stated.
Focus on Pensioners
Miss Odunaiya highlighted the critical role of pensioners in Nigeria’s history and pledged to prioritize their welfare.
“Our pensioners represent the foundation of this country’s growth. Ensuring they receive the care and respect they deserve is not just a duty—it is an honor. Together, we can enhance their quality of life and recognize their invaluable contributions to our nation’s story,” she said.
A Vision for PTAD
She called for unity and collaboration among staff, urging them to set aside personal interests to focus on improving the lives of pensioners.
“My vision is a directorate united in purpose, driven by compassion and accountability. We must ensure our work reflects the dignity and service our pensioners have given to the country,” she added.
Miss Odunaiya also expressed her commitment to aligning PTAD’s work with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to create a system that embodies efficiency and care for all citizens.
“This role offers us an opportunity to reaffirm our nation’s values by supporting those who dedicated their lives to public service. Let us move forward with renewed energy and dedication,” she concluded.
