Chioma Ikokwu, widely known as Chioma Goodhair, recently shared the behind-the-scenes story of how she helped smooth things over between Iyabo Ojo and her daughter Priscilla’s relationship with Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.
Speaking from the heart on Instagram, Chioma recalled how Iyabo was initially unsure when she found out about Priscilla’s new romance. As any protective mum would be, she had her concerns.
Determined to help love win, Chioma took it upon herself to change Iyabo’s mind. She walked for nearly two hours—from Oxford Circus to Knightsbridge—talking through every concern, every doubt, hoping to show Iyabo that this was more than just a fling.
And eventually, she got through to her.
But there was one non-negotiable: if Juma was serious, then he had to be thinking long-term—like marriage. Chioma, having spent time with Juma in Rwanda, confidently assured Iyabo that he wasn’t playing games. In fact, he had already talked about marrying Priscilla from the very beginning.
What started as a simple love story soon turned into something much bigger. Conversations shifted from dating to dreams of wedding bells. Chioma shared how Iyabo, known for speaking things into existence, was already imagining the ceremonies—in Nigeria and in Juma’s home country.
“It felt wild at first,” Chioma wrote. “They had just started dating, and there we were already talking wedding plans.” But as the weeks flew by, the dream started turning into something real: the #JP2025 celebration.
In a touching moment, Chioma also thanked Iyabo for treating her like family and trusting her enough to embrace Priscilla and Juma’s journey. “You handed Priscy to me like a little sister, just like you took me as your own.”
As the countdown to the big day continues, one thing is clear: this isn’t just a love story between two people—it’s a story of trust, family, and the kind of friendship that shows up when it matters most.
