Davido and Moses Bliss Share a Heartwarming Moment—Plus His Honest Take on Nigeria’s Leadership
In a moment that left fans smiling, music star Davido crossed paths with gospel artist Moses Bliss in what seemed like a spontaneous airport encounter. Moses was traveling with his mother to London to visit his wife and newborn when he ran into Davido, and the meeting was full of warmth.
The two artists embraced, exchanged a few kind words, and Davido didn’t hold back in praising Bliss. “Your music heals,” he told him, a sentiment that clearly resonated with both the singer and fans watching the clip.
But Davido wasn’t done making headlines.
In a separate interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, the award-winning performer got candid about the state of leadership in Nigeria—and he didn’t sugarcoat it.
“We don’t have the best leaders,” he said plainly. “Honestly, our governments have been some of the worst. But even in that darkness, music has become a bright spot.”
For Davido, the impact of entertainment goes beyond charts and streams. He believes the music scene is changing how the world sees Nigeria.
“Entertainment is now putting us on the map in a good way,” he said. “It’s bringing people in. Last December, I saw more Americans in Lagos than Nigerians! I had to ask some of them, ‘What exactly brought you here?’”
Despite frustrations with the country’s leadership, Davido’s tone carried hope—pointing to the power of music and art to shift narratives and bring people together.
