Victor Osimhen Draws Big-Money Offer from Al-Hilal—But Chelsea Still in the Picture
Victor Osimhen’s name is back on everyone’s lips—and not just for what he’s doing on the pitch.
After a standout loan run with Galatasaray, where he hammered in 25 goals and assisted five more in just 29 games, the Nigerian striker has caught the attention of some heavy-hitters. And now, Saudi club Al-Hilal has thrown their hat into the ring with an official offer for the forward.
Osimhen, 26, is still under contract with Napoli until 2026, but the waters got murky when new boss Antonio Conte decided to go with Romelu Lukaku instead, pushing Osimhen to the sidelines and sparking serious transfer buzz.
The Napoli frontman famously led the charge during their historic Serie A title win in the 2022–23 season, breaking a three-decade drought for the club. But now, with his future in Italy up in the air, several clubs—including Premier League giants—are watching closely.
Chelsea, in particular, haven’t been subtle about their interest. Former stars like John Obi Mikel and Didier Drogba have been vocal about wanting Osimhen in blue. Mikel even admitted he’s been texting the striker, nudging him toward West London. Drogba, one of Osimhen’s football idols, has also reached out to share what the club means to him.
“He’s someone who could really thrive at Stamford Bridge,” Mikel said. “I’m doing my part to convince him.”
But it’s not just about nostalgia and club legends.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Al-Hilal has offered Napoli a deal worth €65 million plus an additional €5 million in potential bonuses. They’re not just testing the waters—this is a serious move, and they’ve made Osimhen their top target for the summer.
The decision now rests with Napoli—and of course, with Osimhen.
On one side, there’s the financial power of Al-Hilal. On the other, there’s Chelsea, with its Champions League dream and emotional pull. One offers stability and riches; the other, legacy and ambition.
What Osimhen chooses next could redefine the next chapter of his already remarkable career.
