Iyabo Ojo isn’t one to stay silent when it comes to her family—and this time, she had strong words for Tanzanian blogger, Mange Kimambi.
The drama kicked off after Kimambi called out Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla, and her husband, singer Juma Jux, urging them to tone down their online presence during Tanzania’s political season. In a now-viral post, the blogger asked the couple to “sit out” the next few months, claiming their content was distracting the public from serious national issues.
She praised Priscilla as sweet and well-loved in Tanzania but didn’t hold back on criticism—labeling their posts as pointless and allegedly in favor of the government’s agenda. She even asked them to go radio silent until after the elections and added a note for Jux to relay the same message to Diamond Platnumz.
Iyabo, however, wasn’t having it.

Firing back, she called out Kimambi’s post as condescending and out of line. In her words, “You don’t get to call their content stupid or try to scare them into silence.” She defended her daughter’s right to post freely and reminded Kimambi that her daughter is neither a pawn nor a puppet.
Touching on rumors about their wedding, Iyabo clarified that no one funded anything on their behalf—everything was a family tradition, not political favors. “We gave her the wedding we wanted, in our own way,” she added.
And she didn’t stop there. “Leadership isn’t about insults. Real courage means showing up with respect,” she said, pointing out the irony of being told what to do by someone who doesn’t even live in Tanzania.
Her final words were clear: “Priscilla will live her life how she chooses. She’s loved, supported, and protected. Always.”
