Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi: A Wedding Story Told Across Three Countries
Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi have set the bar sky-high with a wedding journey that feels more like a love story written in chapters. Their union recently caught the attention of Vogue Weddings, and every detail proves just how intentional their celebration was.
How It Began
Their journey started back in 2017 on a chilly London night at the Tate Club, where Mr Eazi went to see Temi’s sister, DJ Cuppy, perform. What began as a chance encounter has now blossomed into a beautifully orchestrated celebration of love.
Chapter One: Monaco
On May 9th—what would have been Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday—the couple signed their marriage papers in Monaco. Temi wore a custom Wiederhoeft gown paired with Briony Raymond jewelry, while Eazi kept it sharp in Louis Vuitton. After the formalities, Temi switched into a Christopher John Rogers dress for champagne at Karl Lagerfeld’s former residence. She described the day as calm, almost surreal.
Chapter Two: Dubai
Two months later, the scene shifted to Dubai for a traditional Yoruba wedding at the Otedola family home. Temi dazzled in four looks designed by Zac Posen, Miss Sohee, Lisa Folawiyo, and Oscar de la Renta—each outfit reimagining Nigerian bridal fashion with a couture edge. The reception, held in a lantern-lit tent, was complete with Ankara-upholstered booths, giving it the feel of a modern Nigerian members’ club.
Chapter Three: Iceland
In August, the final chapter unfolded in Iceland with a white wedding straight out of a fairytale. Temi walked down the aisle of Hallgrimskirkja church in Fendi Haute Couture to Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus.” Their reception took place at Kleif Farm in a glass tent framed by moss and volcanic stone, blending nature with elegance. The night featured a surprise performance by John Legend, capped off with an arctic beach party under the Northern Lights.
The Meaning Behind It All
Every location held significance—Monaco for family memories, Dubai for cultural roots, and Iceland for personal connection. As Temi put it:
“Eazi and I have always been unconventional. We wanted to honour our culture while making sure every detail reflected who we are.”
Three countries, countless memories, and one unforgettable love story.
