Inside Temi Otedola’s Traditional Wedding: A Story Woven in Fashion and Heritage
Temi Otedola’s traditional weeding with Mr Eazi was more than a celebration—it was a living tapestry of culture, artistry, and love. Every outfit, every accessory, carried meaning, blending family traditions with couture craftsmanship.
Two months after their legal ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends to the Otedola residence in Dubai for a Yoruba wedding rich with symbolism. Temi shared that she wanted her favorite designers to reinterpret Nigerian bridal attire, and the results were nothing short of breathtaking.
Her opening look was pure elegance: Zac Posen designed an ivory gown with sharp pleats, a dramatic bow, and a flowing train. Temi’s gele was sculpted to perfection, her vintage-inspired diamonds added sparkle, and Mr Eazi stood tall beside her in an agbada, cap, and cane—evoking the grace of a classic portrait. Temi described the dress as “a dream,” calling it a modern ode to Yoruba bridal fashion.
Next came a burst of color. She stepped out in a deep red embroidered skirt paired with a powder-blue corset blouse, complete with floral rosettes. A striking cape by Miss Sohee turned the ensemble into a bold, high-fashion statement that still felt entirely bridal.
For her third look, Temi turned to heritage. Lisa Folawiyo transformed akwa ocha into a strapless, beaded gown with fringe that moved like choreography. Layered coral beads and an ornate okuku headpiece completed the look. This final ensemble carried special weight—it was inspired by photos sent by Mr Eazi’s late mother, making the moment deeply sentimental.
The entire celebration blended old and new, personal history and high fashion—leaving no doubt that Temi’s traditional wedding was as emotional as it was visually stunning.
