On Monday, President Bola Tinubu officially swore in Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack as the new Head of Service of the Federation. The ceremony was held just before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Following the swearing-in, a valedictory session was held to honor the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Folasade Esan, for her distinguished service.
President Tinubu praised Dr. Esan’s significant contributions and acknowledged that Mrs. Walson-Jack has “big shoes to fill” in her new role. He expressed confidence in her leadership and prayed for divine guidance to help her handle the challenges ahead.
In his remarks, Tinubu said, “You’re stepping into very big shoes, and we pray that God guides you, grants you wisdom, and strengthens your integrity as you serve the country and the civil service.”
The President also extended his gratitude to Dr. Esan for her exceptional tenure. He noted, “Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan has been outstanding in her role as Head of Service. We appreciate her dedication, duty, and loyalty. As she steps down, we extend our heartfelt thanks for her unwavering commitment to her country. Today, we officially welcome Mrs. Walson-Jack as our new Head of Service.”
