Former U.S. President Donald Trump asserted on Wednesday that his unexpected proposal for the United States to take control of the Gaza Strip has been widely embraced, despite strong opposition from Palestinian authorities, Middle Eastern leaders, and international governments.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump confidently stated, “Everybody loves it,” when questioned about the global reaction to his plan. However, he quickly added that it was “not the right time” to discuss the matter further, as he was presiding over the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
